Dare To Bloom

Hello, Smiling Faces!

Happy July! Soooo 2021 just came in like a lightening bolt and half the year is behind us! I am slowly back to this blogging thing. (smile) I truly missed it, but needed to step away for a brief season.

How are you? Those three words are rarely used these days. For me, I’ve been incorporating them in my daily conversations. It’s been a journey of life happenings, new opportunities for business, growth and a wholeeee lot of gratitude. On last month, I completed the Bank of America Institute for Women Entrepreneurship Program via Cornell University. What a wonderful opportunity and grant provided by Bank of America. I also secured a brand paid opportunity with one of the local Edible Arrangements here in the city. It will be a Summer partnership featuring a few of their delightful treats. On yesterday, my son earned his Drivers Permit, whewwww…I have a driver on my hands! Last week/weekend I had a wonderful business opportunity in Tampa and enjoyed an extended vacation with a college friend. I enjoyed every moment and the beach day; even the flight delays, that afforded me the opportunity to see my mom for 11 hours! Grateful!

So….let’s talk about “Dare To Bloom”…the subject title, as well as a new book I am reading by Zim Flores. I mentioned it on my Social Media sites and many purchased that day! Man oh Man…..this book is Awesome! It is about trusting God through some painful endings, experiences, and welcoming new beginnings. I am starting Chapter 3 and I can resonate sooooo much with this book. Sometimes, we have to pause and praise. “Pausing and praising doesn’t just change our hearts, it transforms our minds.” Right, right on time! 2020 caused many of us pain and heartache in many situations. Although, it is a slow climb to bounce back for many, It came with alot of reflection, gratitude, wisdom, and healing for me. I will continue to bloom with all the obstacles I faced. How much did we take for granted? Did we lose the drive to reach for greater, when it seemed like we all experienced major setbacks and loss? Did it shift your purpose? The shift was necessary for me. Growth and eyes wide open, as well as painful experiences….but God!

What are your plans for the next 6 months? You still have time to rise above. Don’t take one day for granted. Embrace the challenge, aim for the future, and allow your path to bloom in its own timing.
