Let Your Light Shine

Hello, Smiling Faces!

WOW! Time is flying! We are days away from September. Where did the time go? So much is going on in the world, that I feel like I am in a twilight zone. New strands of the COVID virus, children suffering at high rates, hospitals near capacity, deaths increasing, and political concerns on all these issues. Multiple times during the day, I am in prayer.

In the midst of all of this, we cannot stop living. We have to increase our faith and keep praying. I love the famous quote by Maya Angelou, “Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.” We cannot be conformed to the world. Keep your soul healthy and continue to walk in your purpose. Allow your light to shine upon others; change is all around you.

We all go through hard times, but don’t allow it to make you bitter. Being a light to others can mean a variety of things. Being grateful and generous is a start. Be intentional with your life. Go out of your way to help others. I can truly attest to this in this season; especially navigating full-time entrepreneurship. What you love impacts how you become the light to others. Empathize with others.

Maybe you have allowed a situation or circumstance to dim your light. What steps can you take to revive your passion or purpose? Start small. Do what you can with what you have.

I hope this was a boost of inspiration to empower you this week. Your light is what can make a difference in someone’s life. I am rooting for you!
