The Joy of Missing Out

Hello, Smiling Faces!

Prior to the pandemic, I felt like there were not enough hours in the day. Like so many; the pandemic slowed down my pace, changed my daily routine, and allowed me to see a full view of my time and tasks. Life is different now. Changes beyond my control, but God is still in control.

I was speaking to a dear friend a few days ago. I mentioned feeling like a butterfly & flower; with different layers - the shedding of the old and new is transforming, but only through a specific process. I experienced a shedding of the old 8 months. The new is happening. It’s been uncomfortable, but a blessing! It’s an adjustment to a new season for me personally and professionally. You have to unplug and rest. You have to create healthy boundaries and put things in perspective. Be intentional. It’s a requirement for great work. Sometimes, it’s okay to miss out on “fillers” to be “productive and effective” - to live a life that’s aligned with your purpose and calling. It’s been freeing on another level. I am truly operating in my purpose!

What changes are you undergoing doing this time? Hopefully, you are experiencing being a little more patient and understanding with yourself and others. It’s necessary!
