Power of Positivity
Hello, Smiling Faces!Happy Saturday!! Let’s give it up for the HOTTTTT temps! I wish I could escape back to last weekend in Pittsburgh, to embrace some pleasant temps. The weather was great, although it was a little warm. I will be sharing some tidbits soon on some of the places I visited while there. The Power of Positivity requires the ability to separate the positive from the negative. When you focus on positive thinking and living, you create a stress free environment. Now, don’t get me wrong some circumstances are unforeseen, but those that you have the power over, you must protect your peace of mind. There are ways to redirect and approach unpleasant situations in a positive way.Having a positive outlook on life, doesn’t happen by accident. It takes conscious effort on your part to maintain a positive living. Just because you may experience a negative situation, doesn’t mean you have to remain that way. We allow situations to control our thinking and disrupt our day, by the way we respond. If you are a negative person, you will attract negative people and things into your life. Surrounding yourself with positivity, results in positive circumstances and outcomes.Do you spend time appreciating and welcoming positivity, joy, and happiness or are you always feeling stressful? Sometimes, we can think a negative situation into existence. We focus on the wrong things; clouding our judgement and thoughts. We overthink about past mishaps, instead of focusing on the future. We can’t change the past, but we can focus on a positive, bright future ahead. For me, I routinely speak positive affirmations over my life daily. From a bible verse or simple quote, it allows for a conscious effort to welcome positivity. Pep talks work. They motivate, uplift, and inspire you to thinking positive thoughts. Here are a few tips to living a positive life:• Stress Less. Stress affects our health, thinking, behavior, and attitude. Be mindful of the negative thoughts and actions you entertain.• Encourage Yourself. Give yourself permission to think and be happy. Learn to encourage yourself when embracing opportunities and challenges. Always be a friend to you, first.• Check Your Circle. Make sure those in your life are positive and supportive people that you can depend on. Those you surround yourself with should uplift and push you to living a happy, fulfilling life.Positivity is truly a self-proclaimed position. If you want positivity in your life, welcome it. Protect your heart, space and energy; for much of your daily actions flows from it.Have a wonderful weekend!Always SMILE...Sherill
