Journaling Ideas for Men
Hello, Smiling Faces!I have thoroughly enjoyed blogging for men and received a couple of messages regarding journaling topics that men can relate to. Of course women journal more often, but thought to share a few tips below for “Man Monday Motivation” and yes, women you can utilize them as well.Journaling is a record of ideas, thoughts or reflections similar to keeping a diary, but not using the “girly” terminology. Journaling helped me when I tragically lost my brother several years ago and became part of my weekly routine regimen. Journaling can help you gain control of your emotions and improve your overall wellness in clearing the mental clutter in your mind. Journaling helps us figure out who we are through experiences, what we need and what we want. It can also help us make better decisions. Just like any habit, journaling can take awhile to get accustomed to.Sometimes I don’t journal every week, but often find myself writing down a quote or two to reflect upon. I often like to journal a few times during the work week and one day on those quiet weekend mornings. If journaling is new to you, try dedicating fifteen minutes a couple of times a week and see how you can grow from there. Here are a few journaling prompts:1. What are you most grateful for?2. Are you working on a specific project? Capture those thoughts. Write down your intentions.3. What are your strengths/weaknesses and how can you grow to be strengthened in those areas?4. Just write. Clear the clutter in your mind.5. What phase in life are you in right now? What’s your vision for your life?Journaling is setting aside a little quiet time to sit down and think about your life, including the most difficult times. It’s not perfect. Just get started. Please share your thoughts with me. All the best!Always SMILE...Sherill
