Protect Your Energy
Hello, Smiling Faces!Happy Saturday! Hope you had a wonderful week. For me, I feel as if I have been traveling around the world...well, at least my body feels that way. This week, kicked off my first travel for 2018! The snow is gone (for now) and work business travel is in full force. I must say, the Flu Season is in full force as well. I noticed throughout my travel, many individuals wearing protective face masks. I had one scheduled face-to face- meeting that turned into a conference call. So, be careful and wash those hands! On yesterday, I posted this picture below, indicating that you may have to "give the hand" to negative people and situations. If you have been following me for some time, you will quickly notice that my Social Media pages are not negative in nature, but the true authentic me...and yes, some heartfelt moments. You will not see negativity or complaining of any nature, but you will a few times a year, see me reference being protective of your energy and being mindful of those that attempt to dampen your spirit. On last weekend, I attended a Blogger Social and one of the fellow bloggers snapped a few photos of me. Well, I could not resist posting this photo. Truth be told, I experience many things just as you do. However, I choose to decipher those things I will respond to. You cannot always control what is brought to you or said about you, but you can choose how you will respond. Protect Your Energy. A cheerful SMILE will confuse anyone. I do not do drama of any sort. I do believe in having a healthy conversation where needed for clarification or to alleviate any confusion. Protecting your energy is so crucial. Some people just believe in creating conflict and there are those that will dislike you because of YOU. Yes, because of who you are. The way you look, your place of employment, the car you drive, how many dogs you have, your lipstick color, or the way people love on you. ANYTHING! I am sure this will surprise you, but I am a very sensitive person and learned very quickly to be protective of my energy. You are probably wondering, "How do I protect my energy from negative people and situations?" Keep in mind, that it may not always be people; but what you invite into your personal space, like the news, or social media. This will have a negative impact, just as you experience someone with positive energy. We all should be aware of the negative triggers we experience. It could be your co-worker, a family member, friend, or environment. If you are invited to a drama-filled environment, politely decline. Why subject yourself to a negative environment? When we are negatively impacted by someone else's energy, we often lose our internal connection. Our emotions rise and we begin to feel anxiety or energy deprived. STOP IT. Take back your control and breathe. Here are a few ways to protect your energy:1. It's okay to say no. You do not have to explain why, simply say no.2. Be true to who you are.3. Give yourself permission to set boundaries.4. Release negative ties to others.5. Be Intentional. You cannot always control what happens to you, but you can control how you respond.Protect Your Energy.Always SMILE...Sherill
