Purpose And Vision
Welcome New Blog Followers! If you've been following me for some time on Social Media sites, you know I speak quite a bit on passion, purpose, and vision! God created you with a purpose. God's will for our lives has reason and purpose. Your responsibility is to discover your purpose and live it...sharing with others. No worries...I will not preach a sermon (LOL), but discovering your purpose is very, very important. It is important to living a meaningful life. It's wny you were born.I discovered my purpose, during my early college days at Tennessee State University. I remember it so vividly; suffering from a sprained ankle, while serving as a Peer Counselor. You will often hear, that your setback will foster your success. BELIEVE IT! From that day forward, was the start of a wonderful beginning. Over the last two decades or more, I've strived daily and now to live out my purpose and passion in mentoring and inspiring youth in many facets with partnerships, church affiliations, and organizations; as well as inspiring, mentoring, and coaching adults under my own business umbrella. It is a wonderful feeling of gratitude! You can read all about my journey on my website (www.sherillrdavis.com) as well as request any personal or business service needs. So why is discovering your purpose so important? Living out your purpose allows for a happy, fulfilling life. It connects you with people with a sense of meaning and value. It allows for you to reach a greater level of achievement, one that is shared with others. Knowing your purpose helps you find true passion, and that will drive you to achieve wonderful things. Goals and dreams become a reality. It allows for direction and guidance. Those individuals who are walking and serving in their purpose, make a greater impact on living a life of gratitude and service, enjoying every moment. You begin living a positive life, embracing opportunities, and empowering those around you.Knowing your purpose, doesn't prevent obstacles from happening, but you manage those circumstances with confidence, prayer, and faith. You know what to pay attention to and what is less important. At all cost; you protect your energy, remove negativity, and avoid distractions. Why is vision so important? Having a vision for your life, provides the pathway to your success. Just like being a business owner, you have to have a blueprint for the future. Vision is a mental picture of the future. It guides us to create, grow, and improve our lives. When you have a clear vision for your future it keeps you hopeful. As a healthcare leader and business owner, vision is important to my growth in all areas. Vision motivates you, even when you don't feel like it. It gives us meaning and purpose, but most importantly your "why" to your existence. Your "why" shapes your life and inspires you. If you've faced a tragedy, or significant crisis in your life, you will experience the power of your "why" in a might way. You will find greater fulfillment in all that you do.Okkkkk, I am feeling like I am about to tap into my "preaching zone" let me get back on track!Purpose, passion, and vision goes hand in hand. You can't be successful without the other one. Do you have a clear direction of your purpose and vision? Most adults that I mentor and coach, soon discover that they are currently operating in it to some value. There may be questions or avenues where direction or a plan of action may be needed from a Success Coach, as myself. What makes you come alive? Where do you add the greatest impact or value?Although, there is no true one pathway for discovering your life's purpose, there are many ways and avenues you can obtain a deeper insight into yourself and your offerings to the world. To live a purposeful life, follow your passions. Be Intentional. Be Authentic. Be YOU!If you are feeling inspired, share this blog post with others.Always SMILE...Sherill
