Self-Care
Welcome New Blog Followers!Happy Saturday! We are days away from Christmas! Earlier in the week, I shared a post on Self-Care. Self-Care is so important. Are you productive or just busy? Are you always saying yes, when your body is saying no? It's okay to say no. You can't be everything to everybody. Now, don't get me wrong; there are some obligations and activities that you have to attend, that may require expedited attention. I am speaking of those spare of the moment events and times changes, that just may leave you stressed out in trying to fulfill.Do you find yourself stressed out and "Happy/Unhappy" most of the time? Being productive is more important than being busy. Do you plan ahead? Or just embrace the moment? Planning and preparation allows for consistency and not feeling overwhelmed. How do you practice self-care? For me, I adventure to the land of reading, relaxation and a good spa day....maybe a little shopping too! As much travel as I do for my career, my magazines and journaling books are always on deck. Eating healthy and exercise, allows for maintaing focus and energy. Incorporating thirty-minutes of meditation into your day, can make a difference. Check your surroundings. Are you welcoming negativity in your life? Surround yourself with positive people. By giving ourselves a little compassion, we are able to embrace those friendships and relationships with a happy attitude and a SMILE!Here are a few additional tips to practicing self-care:- Know Your Purpose- Express Gratitude/Journaling- Stress Less- Declutter Your Mind And Space- Mini Stay-cation- Track Your Achievements and Accomplishments (Gratitude Break)This upcoming year, I am planning to incorporate Yoga into my life. We all are busy, but a little bit of extra attention to your own life will position your mind, body and soul for greatness.Always SMILE...Sherill
