Welcome New Blog Followers!Happy Sunday! It appears the frigid, cold temperatures are here! Well...at least in Tennessee! Peace. True peace that can only come from God. Inner peace begins the moment you choose not to allow another person or event to control your emotions.Finding peace can be difficult. Many people often say, they will be at peace once they find that dream job or that perfect husband. Well, let me tell you this. You will still endure trials and tribulations. No matter how tough things get, and trust me, I've endured much; however, finding inner peace will calm the storm.Finding inner peace during difficult times can be hard. It is about changing the relationship with your mind. With so much happening around us, it is so hard to find that calmness. Tragedy on every corner. Turmoil on a daily basis. We often find ourselves struggling to find peace within. There is so much negativity around us, but to find inner peace, it is totally a journey of self-acceptance. Some reach that point sooner than others.Here are a few tips to having inner peace:1. Trust God. Period.2. Set limits and boundaries. Be mindful of your time and not extending yourself, beyond what you can do for yourself or others.3. Acceptance. Accept things where they are, but strive to make changes in areas where needed.4. Forgiveness. When you forgive yourself and others, you set yourself free from agony and pain. Be mindful not to fall back into the same trap.5. Be Happy. Happiness comes from within.
