Inward Reflection for Men
Hello, Smiling Faces!Happy Monday! Can you believe we are in the middle of March, already? This is the third blog post for men and so grateful for the feedback and support! Please continue to share with your co-workers, friends and family.Do you take time to self-reflect and evaluate yourself? At some point in life, we all tend to take a moment to reflect on many things. Somewhere along the journey, complications seems to arise in the form of disappointment. We experience low and high moments, caused by many factors. Life happens and we tend to try to fix or improve the outer layers, instead of focusing on what lies within. Our joy and peace brings internal happiness. When looking at this way of life, our vulnerability becomes very evident: we have allowed our emotions, thoughts and desires to be influenced by external circumstances, none of which are in control. We often anticipate things will soon fall apart. As long as our inner life is controlled by outer situations, we will always be in a devastating position.Self-evaluation and reflection allows for an increased awareness for our own well-being. We are often in the midst of situations beyond our control and some we may have control over. The best way to handle these type of situations, is to go inward and recognize our true state of being. Our joy, happiness and peace cannot be attained by external factors. When you look deep within yourself, do you see peace or internal conflict? We all learn from the past bad experiences, but thinking about them too much won’t allow you to live in the present. Consider the entire situation as motivation to be a better person.I often talk to many people and some are wandering through life with no purpose, no intention and no clarity about what they need to do to make this life count. We are not on this earth to just exist. We all need a vision for our future. Life moves in one direction. Stop wasting your time. Move forward with purpose. Live your life with a sense of urgency. Make a bold decision right now and go make life happen.I have a simple challenge for you. Write down three things that you want to do, but are too scared to start. What’s holding you back? Commit to taking action on these items over the next 30 days. Check in with me and let me hold you accountable.I am very excited about this journey in sharing “Man Monday Motivation” the third Monday of each month.
