Mentoring Matters

Hello, Smiling Faces!Mentoring Matters! Mentoring truly matters to youth development, as well as for adults. You will never get too old for mentoring. With over 20+ years in mentoring, the impact is rewarding. I've been mentoring since my early college days, as well as receiving mentoring and guidance from those I trust. Yes, I have a mentor or two and very selective in who I receive advice, ideas, or guidance from.On yesterday, I had the opportunity to inspire and empower teen girls in an all day seminar at Fairley High School in Memphis, Tennessee. The event was hosted by Beautiful Spirited Women, Incorporated with over 100 girls in attendance. I was invited to conduct two workshops centered around Living Authentically. I truly live by this mantra and was elated for this opportunity! The girls had a wonderful time learning and sharing, as well as setting short and long-term goals for themselves. They also listed several challenges that will prevent them from reaching their goals.  I had a wonderful time learning about them as well. I am very thrilled to see many are following my blog from yesterday's workshop! To the young girls reading this post, I truly appreciate you and wish you much success in achieving your goals. YOU ROCK! I am here for YOU!I included a couple of pictures below. Several of the girls are not pictured. I love to inspire and empower others! There were many smiling faces!       Who are you mentoring? Whether you are mentoring those in your family, neighborhood, organization, or a school setting, you are making a difference.
