Not only is Sherill a successful mentor, but an author, motivational speaker, healthcare leader, entrepreneur, social influencer, former magazine editor, pageant judge, inspirational blogger, and certified success coach. Sherill has over 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership, consulting, and management.

Sherill earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration and Planning from Tennessee State University and a Health Care Administration and Planning certificate from Meharry Medical College.  She also earned a Master of Science in Health Services Administration and Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of St. Francis. Sherill is a 2020 Life Leadership Graduate of The Life Church, 2021 Graduate of Cornell University - Certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship and an Active Member of the Junior League of Memphis.

With over 25 years in the corporate world and provider arena, Sherill held key leadership positions within several organizations. She is currently employed with UnitedHealthcare as Associate Director, Health Plan Operations Delivery - Community & State Tennessee Division. Her intensive background Includes clinical/STAR quality effectiveness, provider relations, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, operational management, private health insurance, knowledge of policies, protocols, and contract management. She also served on several boards centered around cultural effectiveness and internship opportunities for college graduates.

Sherill is also a Certified John C. Maxwell Leadership trainee, “Becoming A Person Of Influence” and COVID-19 Educational Task Force Member for a school district. Sherill is a former board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis (8 Years) and former National Youth Ambassador of Xcellence, Inc. Sherill is very active in her community and abroad, serving in different leadership capacities.

July 2020, Sherill celebrated 5 Years in business - SRD Mentoring & Coaching. While balancing a high paced healthcare career and personal business; Sherill realized her entrepreneurial journey became more and more important to her. Sometimes, you have to pivot when necessary. Her faith, passion, and purpose in inspiring others towards success and legacy living, is a daily mantra. Let’s just say she is the “Purpose Pusher” with a smile!

Captivating on her passion for speaking, Sherill created and launched “When Passion Meets Purpose” workshop. A workshop where she launched in six cities worldwide, empowering ladies to walk and serve in their purpose. She is also the founder, SMILE ON THE MOVE. A movement of inspiration and motivation towards positive interaction, positive choices, and positive growth.

Sherill is passionate about inspiring individuals to walk and serve in their purpose.  From a casual conversation to social media posts, her energy ignites an atmosphere of motivation and inspiration.  Her SMILE is her trademark, where positive energy flows from one to another.

She encourages youth and adults to reach for the stars in every walk of life.  Her mission is to empower and ignite them to reach their fullest potential. From the boardroom to the classroom, small groups to church events, Sherill strives to encourage everyone to not allow barriers to hold them back; to reach for their goals with prayer, positive energy, and daily motivation.  She charges every youth and adult to “Create Your Own Image” of success, as we are unique in our own way.

Sherill is a proud native of Brownsville, TN.  She currently resides in the suburbs of Memphis, TN with her husband and son. She is a active member of The Life Church.
