How do you jumpstart your day? Do you find yourself sluggish throughout the day? During the cold, extreme mornings, you have to let your car warm up for a few minutes; your body, your mind, and your soul requires the same. Hitting the snooze button multiple times, barely dragging yourself out of bed, and wishing for more sleep, will create a sluggish day.
You determine your day at the start of each morning. For me, I start my day with quiet mediation and prayer. This allows for me to be thankful and grateful for seeing another day; followed by a daily devotional read and a cup of hot, green tea. If I previously planned for an early morning – exercise is on deck. Enjoying a few minutes of quiet time allows for reflection and gratitude. I understand the busy mornings of family preparation, breakfast, and getting children off to school, but make sure you fuel yourself first…..this may require getting up a little early!
